Why I Created the V123 Optimizer
The journey to creating the V123 Optimizer began with a simple observation: To “win” on Voice123 (as with all pay-to-plays), you have to understand and work with that particular platform’s algorithm. Talent isn’t enough. On Voice123, incredibly talented performers weren't getting heard simply because their profiles weren't optimized for the platform. Their amazing work was getting lost in the digital shuffle.
When I started offering VO-adjacent support services a few years ago, one thing I noticed was how much work all voice talent were doing, but how little of it was actually time spent in the booth recording.
The next thing I noticed was how unbelievably time-consuming it was to critically analyze an actor’s V123 samples and profile in any kind of detailed way without spending hours and hours. So I built this tool out of frustration with how much time I spent optimizing each voice talent's Voice123 profile for search visibility.
A solid knowledge of the platform and good audition strategies could keep them in the Top 10%, but that didn't always result in them getting work. Talented voice actors—much more talented than me—were missing out on opportunities because of mediocre SEO!
So I learned some computer programming and built a tool specifically to address this. No more guessing!
My mission became clear: help voice actors get more work by maximizing their Voice123 profile's effectiveness. This isn't just about technical optimization – it's about ensuring your talent gets the attention it deserves.
The Online Casting Optimizer - V123 Samples Tool evolved from a set of programs and a gigantic personal spreadsheet into what it is today: a comprehensive analysis tool built on real experience, the platform’s current algorithm, and best practices. Every feature is designed with one goal in mind: getting your voice heard by the right people at the right time.
Currently in Beta 1.5, we're working with a select group of voice actors to refine our tools and processes. Their feedback and success stories drive our continuous improvement, helping us create something truly valuable for the voice acting community.
